Terms & Conditions for SARVAROGYA Internship Programme

The Terms and Conditions for SARVAROGYA (a Research Internship on Public Health) are as follows-

  1. SARVAROGYA Internship Programme is an online programme. The applicant shall ensure that the necessary facilities, infrastructure, and technological requirements are available at their workplace or place of residence for the smooth conduct of the internship.
  2. The applicant must provide accurate and legitimate information during registration and throughout the selection process. In the event of any misrepresentation, concealment, or submission of false information at any stage, SARVODAY THERISE FOUNDATION, hereafter referred to as “TheRise”, reserves the right to revoke the internship. The candidate shall bear the sole responsibility for any consequences arising therefrom.
  3. Upon receipt of any communication from TheRise regarding the internship application, the applicant shall mandatorily respond within three (3) working days, failing which the candidature may be cancelled at the discretion of TheRise.
  4. In the internship period, the intern may have access to certain data which should not be sold/transferred/shared with any other entity during the internship as well as post-internship. All intellectual property, data, documents, research materials, and outputs generated during the internship shall remain the sole and exclusive property of TheRise.
  5. Mere application for a certain internship doesn’t guarantee a Certificate of Completion of Internship.
  6. Any act of misbehaviour, misconduct, indiscipline, or violation of guidelines shall result in immediate termination of the internship. TheRise reserves the right to initiate appropriate legal proceedings, where deemed necessary.
  7. Any form of copyright infringement, plagiarism, or submission of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated content shall lead to immediate termination of the internship/revocation of the internship offer and forfeiture of the stipend.
  8. The internship is intended solely for learning and educational purposes. Participation in the programme shall not be construed as an offer or guarantee of employment, contract, or future engagement with TheRise.
  9. The intern may be assigned supervisor(s) or mentor(s) as deemed appropriate by TheRise for guidance and evaluation during the internship period.
  10. The intern is entitled to a stipend at the rate of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) per week, subject to a maximum amount limited to the number of weeks of the internship. The total stipend of Rs. 2000/- for 4 weeks, Rs. 3000/- for 6 weeks, and Rs. 4000/- for 8 weeks. The stipend shall be disbursed only upon successful completion of the internship, which shall include the satisfactory submission and approval of the assigned tasks.
  11. No stipend shall be payable in the event of non-completion, unsatisfactory performance, or early termination of the internship.
  12. The stipend amount shall remain limited to the approved duration, even if the actual engagement period extends beyond the stipulated timeframe.
  13. The selection of interns will be made based on an interview/test. The duration of the internship and the assigned problem statement will be decided by TheRise depending upon the potential of the candidate and organisational requirements.
  14. TheRise is not liable for injury sustained, damage to personal property or health conditions that may arise for the intern during the course of the internship.
  15. TheRise may, at its sole discretion, terminate the internship with prior notice or cause. In such cases, TheRise reserves the right to forfeit the stipend amount.
  16. A non-exhaustive list of grounds of termination of internship/revocation of internship offer:
    • Any instance of plagiarism, including copying from any source or submitting third-party or AI-generated content as original, will lead to immediate review. If established, the internship will be revoked with immediate effect, and no certificate or stipend (If applicable) shall be issued.
    • Interns are expected to maintain professional conduct at all times. Unruly behaviour includes misconduct, insubordination, harassment, use of abusive language, violation of workplace discipline, or any act that disrupts the work environment. Such behaviour shall lead to immediate termination of the internship.
    • Interns are required to adhere to deadlines communicated by their supervisor. Failure to submit assigned tasks for a continuous period exceeding three (3) weeks without prior written approval or valid justification shall be considered non-performance. In such cases, the organisation reserves the right to revoke the internship
    • Interns are expected to remain reachable during the internship period through officially communicated channels (phone/email). Failure to respond to calls, emails, or official communication for a period exceeding four (4) consecutive days, shall be treated as abandonment of internship responsibilities. In such cases, the organisation reserves the right to terminate the internship on these grounds.
  17. The intern will adhere to the guidelines issued regarding the internship. Intern will demonstrate honesty, punctuality, courtesy, cooperative attitude, proper health and grooming habits, appropriate dress and a willingness to learn while interacting with others during the internship.
  18. The intern will obey the policies, rules and regulations of TheRise and comply with them.
  19. At the time of submission of the assignment/report/policy brief, the intern will furnish an undertaking declaring that the submitted work has not been generated using Artificial Intelligence tools and that all associated data and materials about the internship have been duly submitted to TheRise.
  20. The intern assumes all of the risks of participating in the internship program. In consideration of the opportunity provided to the intern to participate in the internship program, the intern hereby agrees that he/she, his/her assignees, heirs, guardians, and legal representatives, will not make a claim against TheRise and/or any of its affiliated organisations.
  21. The duration of the internship programme may be modified with mutual consent between the intern and TheRise, subject to written confirmation.
  22. Upon successful completion of the internship, the intern shall be awarded a verifiable digital Certificate. TheRise reserves the right to publish outstanding outcomes, reports, or contributions on its official portal and associated social media platforms with due acknowledgement.
  23. TheRise reserves the right to modify, amend, or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued participation in the internship programme shall constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
  24. The content generated during the internship will be the sole property of TheRise.
  25. The intern is under an obligation to acknowledge the support received from all concerned in any form in the internship outcome.
  26. These terms and conditions will be automatically applicable to the interns, and any violation will lead to termination of the internship and forfeiture of the stipend amount.
